Laser Scanner Finds Cavities Years Earlier

Sometimes cavities are too small to be visible to the dentist or show up on X-rays. Sometimes patients complain of tooth sensitivity or mild to severe pain, yet X-rays and examination cannot pinpoint the source. The laser scanner can detect previously undetected decay years earlier, when the small cavity can be removed and repaired with a small, invisible bonded filling.

Dentistry Without Drills or Needles?

Is it possible to go to the dentist and never feel the drill or the pinch of that dreaded needle? One of the most spectacular advances in recent dentistry is called air abrasion. Instead of a conventional drill, this device directs a stream of tiny particles and air onto the decayed area, gently misting it away! Many patients require little or no anesthesia. The sound and vibrations of the drill are gone, and so is most of the pain! For many procedures, it’s goodbye to needles, goodbye to the drill!

Isolite

The Isolite™ Dental Isolation System

This multifunction unit’s most important feature is suction, which removes droplets and aerosols from the air during treatment. Additionally, its flexible mouthpiece provides greater dental isolation and includes a light for improved illumination of your mouth. For comfort, there is a built-in bite block to help you keep your mouth open.

Isolite streamlines your dental visit by replacing several hand instruments your dentist and assistant would have used in the past. That means less time in the chair and a smoother experience overall.

intraoral camera

Intra-Oral Camera

The dentist works with patients to build a collaborative relationship. The amazing intra-oral camera is a miniature video camera that displays a close-up picture of the inside of your mouth. You can see for yourself what work needs to be done and which teeth are doing fine. You then become a participant in each dental decision. You’ll love how this works!

Digital X-Rays

Traditional X-rays worked well enough, but digital X-rays are a significant upgrade. They give us much clearer and more accurate images of what is happening inside your mouth. That means we can spot problems earlier, like tiny leaks or cracks in fillings that might have gone unnoticed in the past. Catching those early prevents the need for a root canal later. With panoramic digital images, we can also see your entire mouth, upper and lower jaws, all in one shot.
